Technique and Projections The radiographs of the head is complicated, but it can help us to diagnose the type, location and importance of various pathologies. With a portable machine and standard values can be performed most radiographic projections of the head.

We can realize lateromedial and dorsoventral projections of the rostral maxillary and mandibular region, and with different lateromedial and oblique angle for facial and cranial regions flow. Often for these radiographs have to make a good sedating the patient to remain still. Also because it is sometimes interesting to stay with the skull vertical lines to appreciate fluid in the sinuses.
Visualized Structures - Maxillary and mandibular rostral region - Facial area (nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses and molars) - Caudal skull (temporomandibular joint and vertical branch of the jaw) Diagnostic Utility - Fractures in all regions, the most frequent and easier diagnosis of the mandibular region. - Dental disease (alveolitis and apical abscesses) and dental infection - Polidontia and oligodontia - Dentígenos cysts, sinus or bone bone sequestration - Sinusitis (air or fluid lines) - Neoplasms (squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma, osteoma, osteosarcoma, leiomyoma and ethmoid carcinomas) - Osteodystrophia fibrosa - Foreign bodies - Sialoliths - Dacryocystography (contrast radiology of the nasolacrimal duct)
